From Grace to You to Grace to Asia

JMacArthurLetterDear Friend,

Greetings on behalf of all of us at Grace to You.   I’m writing to you to pass along some important news about our work in Singapore and its surrounding regions.

The world has changed dramatically since we opened our first office in Singapore back in 1982.  The Internet has revolutionized what is necessary to have an effective outreach.  Even our radio program you hear is delivered, at least part of the way, by the Internet.  And you probably know already that last November we opened our vault and made all 3,000 of my sermons available in MP3, free of charge.  People are downloading more than one million messages a month, and many of those are going to destinations outside the U.S.

Thanks to the Internet, our ministry to you and others like you no longer depends on a brick-and-mortar local office.  With that in mind, and in light of last year’s global financial downturn, we began to reevaluate our approach to ministry around the world.  After much prayer and consideration, we made the decision to phase out several of our local offices outside the U.S., including the office in Singapore.

Although Grace to You will no longer have a physical presence in Singapore, we’re still available for you, and I urge you to stay connected with us.  Our desire to serve you is as strong as ever.  The best way to stay connected is through our website (www.gty.org).  From our website you can:

  • have free access to all 3,000 of my sermons in MP3 format
  • find where to hear “Grace to You” on radio
  • listen to our free online broadcast
  • download our daily podcast
  • find articles, lesson transcripts, Q&As, study guides, and booklets
  • donate by bank card to help sustain our work

As you can see, our ministry remains widely open to you, thanks to the Internet.  In addition, our radio broadcast is continuing on FEBA.  I encourage you to keep listening to our broadcast as you are able, and to take full advantage of our website in the months and years to come.

What’s more, I want to introduce you to an exciting new ministry.  For more than twelve years, Peter Low has served as manager of Grace to You in Singapore.  Under the same excellent leadership of the members of the board and Peter, the Grace to You office in Singapore will transition to a brand-new ministry called Grace to Asia.  That ministry will serve as your primary source for my books and CDs.  We will also partner with Grace to Asia to make my sermons available in different languages in Asia.  In addition, Grace to Asia will offer an expanded range of doctrinally sound Christian material from other teachers and authors.  Grace to Asia will continue to minister to you through monthly updates and offers, and I encourage you to lend your full support to this new ministry.

I also want you to know I count you a faithful co-laborer, too.  You have stored up treasure in heaven through your prayers and faithful investments in Grace to You’s work in Singapore.  Thank you for all you’ve done, seen and unseen.  You’ve made a difference, and in ways you won’t know until heaven.

We cherish your friendship, and we look forward to that continuing as God allows.  Our prayer is that He will allow us to reach out to you in many meaningful ways in the days ahead, and that He will richly bless as you remain faithful to Him.

Love in the Truth,
